ANNUAL FUND

You may be surprised to learn that revenue from ticket sales covers less than half of our expenses. Thanks to charitable contributions from individuals, foundations, companies and government agencies to the BE Annual Fund:

  • Black Ensemble Theater remains a recognized leader in the theater arts community for having one of the nation’s most diverse audiences, reaching more than 55,000 patrons from various races, cultures and ethnicities each year.
  • BE uses performing arts to help underserved populations see and reach their fullest potential through educational outreach programming, serving over 15,000 children and families each year.
  • BE is home to the Black Playwrights Initiative and the Black Playwrights Festival, providing training, exposure and opportunities to emerging African-American playwrights. And so much more.

Help preserve our rich history and support our exceptional outreach education programs by making a tax-deductible gift to Black Ensemble. Together we can eradicate racism.
