Summer Jobs for Youth
Ages 14 – 21
An exciting and wonderful way to spend the summer and get paid for it!
Interns participate in performance skills that will strengthen their self-respect, confidence and self-esteem while increasing their employability.
The Internship is an 8-week program and pays $15.00 an hour. The interns work Monday through Thursday for 20 hours a week from 10:00 until 2:00. The program begins June 23, 2025, and ends August 14, 2025, with a performance written by the interns, and performed on the stage of the Black Ensemble Theater.
Students will:
- Explore areas of theater production including; set design and construction, lighting, costume design and stage management.
- Create, produce and market their own script to be performed on the stage of the Black Ensemble Theater.
- Perform and film an on-camera project which will be featured in the culminating show.
